Tomesode is the most formal, high class Kimono for all ceremonies and occasions. Black ones are worn by married women and colored ones are worn by both married and unmarried women. Distinct characteristics of Tomesode are family crests and surrounding patterns around the hem. Numbers of family crests specify formality and rank.
Please keep in mind that female Kimonos are supposed to fit longer. You will need to adjust the fit to your size by tying Obi belt.
Due to the nature of being a vintage textile product, the item might come with partial wrinkles, fold lines and stains. Most of such conditions are either depicted in the gallery photos or otherwise illustrated within the product descriptions. Please keep in mind that, though I try my honest best in reporting any blemishes, it is impossible to locate and present every single one of them. By purchasing the products from my shop, it is considered that you acknowledge and accept such condition.
Rare, but any possible slight odor from purchased wardrobe originates from Japanese storing and preservation means of silk wardrobe products and is not related to aging or molding. My wardrobes are generally in excellent condition otherwise explicitly expressed in description section and any orders will fade away over the time.
Most of my wardrobes are made of luxury textiles and are not meant to be hand/machine washed. Please research and consult your local dry cleaners for their experiences/expertise in handling high quality fabrics for best result.
